Pitra Shanti Puja is a Hindu ritual performed to offer peace and liberation (moksha) to departed ancestors (pitras). It is conducted to remove ancestral curses (Pitra Dosh) and seek their blessings for prosperity, harmony, and well-being. The puja includes offerings, prayers, and tarpan (ritual water offerings) to satisfy the souls of ancestors, usually performed on Amavasya (new moon), Shradh days.
